Cannery Row, with its beautiful coastline, earned the title of California's #1 visitor destination and is the heart of Monterey County, which receives over 7,500,000 visitors annually.
The area was immortalized by John Steinbeck in his classic novel Cannery Row.
The Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary is a rare treasure of the region. The Sanctuary, with over 345 species of fish, is celebrated by the Monterey Bay Aquarium, one of the world's largest aquariums, which has had over 40,000,000 visitors whom have enjoyed it since its opening.
Now, in 2008, a new state of the art IMAX 3D Theatre will bring to "The Row" the Ultimate Movie Experience to offer visitors and locals immersive film experiences on the giant screen for their enjoyment.
